Your free 90-minute assessment provides you with a baseline for success. We will measure your fitness level, discuss your goals and pinpoint exactly how to structure your workout and nutrition plan to maximize strength and endurance. 

Building Your Strength Training Workout Plan

After your assessment, we’ll develop your plan with you. It will incorporate both workouts with us at HOUSEFIT and independent exercises you can do at home or in our gym. You can expect a 3-5 times a week plan that will help you burn more calories and build more muscle.

We will develop your specific plan based on these all-important principles:

  • Progressive overload workouts

  • Proper attention to all muscle groups

  • Frequency of exercising different muscle groups

  • Proper rest between sets

  • Fun for you!

At the core of every strength training program is the concept of progressive overload. 

In layman’s terms, that means you’ve got to keep increasing your weight to make your muscles work overtime. If you do too much too fast, though, you’re more likely to give yourself an injury than gain muscle. 

Working with a personal trainer means you’re consistently monitored over several months and pushed to raise your weights when appropriate. 

And sure, of course, you want a jacked upper body, but we’ll make sure you never skip leg day! 

Suppose you focus too much volume on some parts of your body and neglect others. In that case, you’ll end up with muscle imbalances, impairing the development of a more muscular, healthy body overall. 

Our plan ensures we target all the body’s muscle groups while also ensuring they get enough rest between sets and workouts to recover.

We consider what gets you fired up to go to the gym, so your plan will engage you. We want your workouts to be varied fun for you, so you’ll be motivated to continue them on your own!

Nutrition Coaching For Strength Training

Building muscle is more than taking protein powder or drinking protein shakes. Your fitness diet is incredibly important, and if you’re putting the wrong kind of fuel in, you’re more likely to sputter out than get the results you’re aiming to see. Our nutrition coaching will ensure you’re working with premium fuel. 

The name of the game in fitness nutrition is macronutrients. Macronutrients mean ensuring you’re getting the right types and the right balance of carbohydrates, proteins and fats, and at the right time. A nutrition coach will develop a custom meal plan for you that ensures the right macros, vitamins and minerals, caloric load, and fluid intake.

Our meal plans provide you with guidance for every meal’s macro intake, with plenty of options, so you’re not frequently eating the same things.

Goal Measuring and Tracking For Motivation

The payoff of all your hard work is a healthier you - but that change doesn’t happen overnight. Sometimes motivation is difficult to maintain. Our trainers ensure your workout motivation runs at 100% by using smart goals, regular fitness assessments, and plenty of encouragement.

A personal trainer will work with you to set measurable and realistic goals so you can watch as those small successes add up.

Using your fitness levels from when you start the program as a baseline, monthly fitness and body assessment check-ins quantify your success. Improved active and resting heart rate, muscle growth and lowered BMI are all signs that the program is working.

We also take a photo of you at the beginning of a program as a baseline. We want you to see, month-to-month, your transformation in stages. This transformation is what we like to call The Before and After Effect.
